We stumbled upon a broken light at a bus stop on the way to
filming at the factory. This had not been planned, however it was agreed that
it may look ‘dark’ and ‘eerie’ if we filmed me and Tom standing
under the light. This could then be used as a ‘glitch’ sort of edit, connoting
the emotional trauma the two characters are going through.
I filmed Tom for his parts, and I was filmed as one of the
main characters. Finding something we didn’t expect and using it in an
improvised sort of way was good, however this hindered what we were originally
going to do at the factory. As when we got there, it was way too dark to film
anything. To avoid this problem in the future we should check what time the Sun
is meant to set and act accordingly, or film more on the weekends when we have
more time.
